In his early days as an appliance distributor, Thomas strapped Maytag washing machines to his Pierce-Arrow car and drove them to ranches and farms, letting residents try out the machines. Towards the end of World War II, the company he created was franchised to distribute General Electric appliances for Arizona. Now with three locations in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tucson, Arizona Appliance & Home services the entire state.
